HOWARD MEYER
I am a multifaceted theatre professional with extensive experience as a produced playwright, theatre director, and program director of an acting studio. As an acting teacher, I have mentored countless students, shaping their craft and preparing them for careers in the performing arts.
As a business owner, I have successfully managed both the creative and operational aspects of running a theatre company and acting school. My entrepreneurial spirit and leadership have played a vital role in sustaining and growing the organization.
I am proud to have co-founded a professional theatre company and acting school, which is now celebrating its 20th anniversary season. For two decades, we have provided a strong platform for actors, playwrights, and theatre professionals, fostering artistic excellence and building a thriving creative community. Our productions have received critical acclaim, and many of our students have gone on to establish successful careers in theatre, film, and television.

Howard Meyer is an accomplished playwright with notable works that have captured the attention of theatergoers. His play PAINT MADE FLESH was presented by Axial Theatre and Sotheby’s NY in June 2018, directed by Cady McClain, and featured an exceptional cast including Meredith Garretson, Stephen Grush, and David Landon. The production first debuted at The Cell Theatre in NYC, following a successful workshop at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. The play was made into a film.
In addition to PAINT MADE FLESH, Meyer’s latest work, THROUPLE, is a new comedic play with four characters, one set, and plenty of humor. It will have a staged reading on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 7:00 pm at The Vineyard Theatre. The reading features theatre and film luminaries, Rocco Sisto, Alysia Reiner, David Alan Basche and Rose Elbay.
Meyer has won honors for several plays at the O’Neil Playwrights Conference.
